GBG brings trusted address verification to AI agents through IBM watsonx Orchestrate
GBG's new data quality agent enables real-time, policy-driven address verification within AI agent workflows.
24 August 2026, LONDON – GBG, the global identity and location technology business, today launched Reach, a new data quality agent designed for AI agents. Reach is the first capability within GBG for Agents, a portfolio of agent-native capabilities that help AI agents make trusted, policy-driven decisions. Reach integrates with agentic workflows, including IBM watsonx Orchestrate, enabling agents to assess address quality and act on reliable data in real time.
AI agents are moving quickly from experimentation to enterprise reality, with 40% of enterprise applications expected to feature task-specific AI agents by the end of 2026, up from less than 5% in 2025. At the same time, organisations are confronting a core constraint: data readiness, with 80% citing data limitations as a barrier to scaling agentic AI. Today, many AI agents are making decisions based on unverified address data, creating downstream risks across fulfilment, onboarding, and identity workflows.
GBG for Agents tackles this by introducing a decisioning enablement layer, allowing agents to act on address data with clear, policy-driven outcomes and governance by design.
Reach, marks GBG’s move into the agentic era by turning its market-leading verification offering into simple, decision-ready signals that provide agents with a consistent output, including a confidence score (0.0-1.0).
Kartik Venkatesh, Head of Global Innovation at GBG says: “AI agents are going to orchestrate more and more of the identity and location journey - onboarding, checkout, fulfilment, verification, screening - increasingly driven by multi‑agent systems. But somewhere in that chain, someone still needs to make a trusted decision with real data underneath. That’s where GBG sits, not replacing the agentic journey, powering it. With GBG for Agents, starting with Reach, we’re making our market-leading verification and decisioning capabilities composable, agent-native, and ready to plug into workflows starting today.”
For customers and partners, this means enabling AI agents that can make faster, more consistent decisions at scale, without the need to build and maintain complex verification logic. By embedding trusted decisioning directly into agent-driven workflows, organisations can reduce manual intervention while maintaining control, auditability and confidence in outcomes.
Reach also supports a Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) model, meaning existing customers can use their current GBG Loqate API key to activate it instantly, without a new procurement cycle or security review. Reach is the first step in a broader roadmap for GBG for Agents, which includes plans to bring Agent native versions to other GBG solutions, such as GBG Go and GBG Trust. These are focused on helping organisations not only enable decisions, but manage, monitor and optimise them as agents become core to the digital economy.
