GBG partners with Realeyes to take identity verification beyond onboarding

New partnership embeds Realeyes’ Face Credentials in GBG Go. Initial launch includes promo abuse and reverification capabilities, with more to be announced in Q4.

LONDON, 29 October 2026: GBG, a global leader in identity and fraud prevention, today
announced a partnership with Realeyes, a pioneer in privacy-safe biometric verification, to help
organisations continuously verify the person behind an account throughout the customer lifecycle.
By combining Realeyes' face credential technology with GBG's identity and fraud capabilities,
companies can move beyond one-time onboarding checks and establish trust at every critical
interaction.

As digital interactions become increasingly automated, organisations face a new trust challenge:
verifying not only who an individual claims to be at onboarding, but whether the same trusted
person remains behind every subsequent account interaction. Bots now generate over half of
internet traffic, AI agents are becoming part of mainstream enterprise applications, and deepfake
driven impersonation continues to accelerate. Together, these shifts are redefining how
organisations establish and maintain trust online.

Realeyes closes that gap by confirming the person. A three-second selfie verifies a real, unique
human and returns a privacy-safe face credential that can be reused across any experience on any
device. The technology already serves more than 30 billion verifications each month.

The partnership launches with two capabilities in GBG Go:

  • Promo abuse prevention: one face, one account. Face uniqueness flags duplicate sign
ups at registration, stopping multi-account bonus abuse before a promotion is paid out.
  • Reverification: face check at every risky moment. Risk-triggered step-up authentication
can be used after a device change, unusual withdrawal or account recovery request to
confirm the account holder is still the person who opened it.

The roadmap extends the same face credential to account recovery, agentic identity, age assurance
and continuous verification for gig-economy platforms, available to GBG’s 20,000+ customers in
more than 70 countries.

Micah Willbrand, Chief Product Officer at GBG, said: “Trust in an account decays from the
moment it is created. Our customers need to know that the person behind an account today is the
person who opened it. Embedding Realeyes’ face credentials in GBG Go turns verification from a
one-off event into an ongoing signal, without adding friction and without asking anyone to store
biometric images.”

Mihkel Jäätma, CEO and co-founder of Realeyes, said: “The market need has shifted from
verifying an identity once to verifying a person continuously. Every risky moment, from a login to a
payout to a recovery, is a moment trust can break. Realeyes has taken visual checks to a level
where continuous verification is practical: a few second selfie that works across any experience on
any device, returning a reusable credential instead of an image, at more than a billion verifications a
day. With GBG we put that in the hands of thousands of fraud teams.”

The first joint capabilities are available through GBG Go from October 2026.
